Position Objective

• The position objective of a Driver is to convey people and goods from one location to another within a set time frame. Drivers must always obey traffic laws, be alert, be attentive to details, maintain assigned vehicles, and have a good knowledge of various routes.

Job Description

• Perform daily inspections on all assigned vehicles, at the beginning of the day.


• Ensure that all assigned vehicles are properly cleaned daily and maintained.


• Promptly outline and report all vehicle repair needs and track all necessary vehicle papers to ensure they are valid and renewed before expiration.


• Drive to various markets and assist purchasing officer in conveying goods from the market to the assigned destination as specified by the company.


• Assist in loading and offloading vehicles.


• Use standard maps or the GPS to map safe routes to destinations, ensuring that timelines are met.


• Safely drive assigned office vehicles by following set road rules and regulations.


• Safely transport goods and people to the assigned destination


• Handle office pick-up duties, and deliver parcels and documents.


• Report all matters regarding Company Vehicles to the Manager


• Practice safe driving habits at all times and comply with federal and state government road safety laws.


• Perform both preventative and regular maintenance on assigned vehicles, and ensure that proper detailing is performed.


• Assist in performing other functions around the office as may be assigned

Requirements

• Should be between the ages of 30 to 45 years at the time of engagement.


• Should be resident in Oshodi- Isolo, Lagos.


• Should possess a valid driving License


• Pass a comprehensive medical exam approving employee for work under this contract


• Pass a detailed vetting process approving employee for work under this contract


• Pass all company-conducted training courses required
