Job Summary:


The Sales Manager in the manufacturing industry is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, building, and managing a high-performing sales team, and fostering strong customer relationships. They will oversee the sales process, identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with production capabilities and market demands.


Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy and Planning:



  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competition to identify sales opportunities.

  • Set sales goals, KPIs, and budgets in alignment with company objectives.


Team Management:



  • Recruit, train, and manage a skilled sales team.

  • Set performance targets, provide coaching and mentoring, and conduct regular performance

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture within the team.


Customer Relationship Management:



  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.

Sales Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Implement effective sales pipeline management and ensure accurate sales forecasting.


New Business Development:



  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding customer base and entering new markets.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay updated on industry trends and developments.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and campaigns. Sales Presentations and Negotiations:

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers. Negotiate and close sales deals, including pricing agreements and contract negotiations. Ensure sales contracts and agreements comply with legal and ethical standards.


Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:



  • Collaborate with production, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of sales orders and customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address customer requirements, production capabilities, and delivery schedules.

  • Provide feedback and input to product development and marketing teams based on customer feedback and market trends.


Sales Training and Development:



  • Identify training needs for the sales team and provide relevant training programs to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and customer service abilities.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, sales techniques, and product advancements. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience as a sales Manager in the manufacturing industry or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, products, and industry trends.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
