Job Summary


The Non-Operated Venture value delivery role includes;



  • NOV Manager for OML34 or OML71/72, or assigned areas

  • Ensuring the execution of an NOV framework that assures value delivery to FIRST E&P bottom-line

  • Participating in TECOM and OPCOM meetings as required

  • Representing FEP in OPTS/IPPG as assigned/required


The role involves formal interactions with the company's executive management, the leadership / Board of Non-Operated Companies, and functional leadership/business leaders to facilitate /steward the relationship between FIRST E&P and its various NOV JV partners.


Key Accountabilities



  • Monitor and ensure Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) and budget stewardship

  • Keep abreast of related developments, M&A opportunities, and new technology within the oil & gas industry.

  • Build, manage, and enhance JV partner relationships. Build knowledge of and familiarity with operators of JV Assets.

  • When applicable, provide timely challenges to the operators on Business Plan / Work Program-related activities and costs.

  • Liaise with operators directly daily and act as FEPs primary joint venture contact.

  • Maintain a broad knowledge of regulatory systems and compliance agreements.

  • Work with joint venture partners on non-operated development and growth projects to represent FEP's interests fully.

  • Ensure that FEP/ NOV Assets management and other key contacts are updated and apprised of any issues or challenges, together with recommendations to resolve them

  • Work with JV Partner relevant functions as required and as permitted under the Joint Operating Agreements to ensure the value received for FEPs working interest share of dividends /production is maximized.

  • Participate in non-operated joint venture internal budget planning and assist with the internal approval process for operator AFEs, cash calls, contract approval, and subsequent administration.

  • Monitor existing asset operations, identify optimization or value enhancement opportunities and share recommendations with Operators.


Qualifications



  • Minimum B.Sc. in Engineering, Geology, Applied Sciences, Finance, and Economics. MSC / MBA will be an advantage.

  • Membership in relevant professional organization(s) such as SPE is desirable but not necessarily a prerequisite.

  • Minimum ten years of relevant experience. Preferably with five years of supervisory experience working within an organization in areas related to Joint Venture Management, Asset Management,

  • technical/engineering projects management, business planning, budgeting, & Finance.

  • Evidence of strong work ethic, awareness of discretion, and the need to observe confidentiality in all matters.

  • Proven strategic/analytical & critical thinking skills, excellent facilitation skills, and proactive problem resolution/solving skills. Strong business analysis skills

  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent business and commercial acumen, complemented by solid work ethics.

  • Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills.

  • Proven track record in building, maintaining, and enhancing networks and relationships.

  • Should possess a demonstratable ability to identify emerging trends from industry data and make clear and compelling business cases/recommendations.

  • Energy and the ability to work within and across cross-functional teams facilitate effective information dissemination, synergy, decision-making, and issues management.

  • Must be well organized and systematic and pay close attention to detail.
