Job Description

• Prepare bill of engineering measurement and evaluation (BEME)


• Prepare interim payment certificate.


• Monitor progress of work and complile reports of project status.


• Carryout technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specification.


• Conduct onsite investigations and analyze data.


• Assess potential risks, material and costs.


• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging construction problem.


• Project management duties (e.g. managing budgets, resources, and timelines; procuring and compiling quotes, etc). (e.g. managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.).


• Consults with and advise project stakeholders and managerial employees on engineering needs for various designs, changes, and structural repairs.


• Taking part in public meetings to talk about projects


• Using modeling software to look at data from surveys and maps


• Putting together bids and reports on projects


• Assessing a project’s effect on the environment and any possible risks


• Keeping track of the project’s progress and making sure it meets legal and health and safety standards

Requirement and Skills

• B.Eng in Civil Engineering


• 2-4 years experience on road construction.


• COREN will be added advantage.


• Project management and supervisor skills.


• Conflict resolution skills


• Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are reached.


• The ability to effectively manage a varied collection of experts working on the same project requires strong leadership abilities.


• The capability of coordinating the progress of multiple projects at once.


• In-depth knowledge of the materials, procedures, and tools used in the construction or repair of buildings, bridges, highways, and other structures.


• A thorough awareness of the safety standards pertaining to the specified projects.


• Capability to recognize and solve complicated situations


• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.


• The ability to think creatively as well as analytically.


• Exceptionally detail-oriented and precise.
