Job Description

• We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry man to join our team and ensure the timely and efficient laundering of linens and towels for our short-let apartments.


• As a Laundry Personnel, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our linens, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests.


• Your exceptional laundry skills and ability to handle high volumes of laundry will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our guests during their stay.

Responsibilities

• Sort, load, and unload laundry, including bed linens, towels, and other items, according to established procedures. Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment to ensure clean and wrinkle-free linens.


• Identify and treat stains on linens using appropriate stain removal techniques and products. Ensure that linens are properly treated to maintain their quality and appearance.


• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, proper folding, and ironing quality. Ensure that all linens meet our quality standards before they are returned to the short-let apartments.


• Keep track of linen inventory, including bed linens, towels, and other items. Report any shortages or damages to the appropriate personnel to ensure timely restocking and replacement.


• Monitor and report any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance issues related to laundry operations. Coordinate with maintenance staff to resolve issues promptly.


• Organize and maintain the linen storage area, ensuring cleanliness, proper organization, and rotation of linens to prevent damage or deterioration.


• Adhere to established health and safety protocols, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.


• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other team members, such as housekeeping and maintenance personnel, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Senior School Leaving Certificate


• Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality or residential setting.


• Knowledge of laundry equipment operation, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment.


• Familiarity with stain removal techniques and products.


• Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.


• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.


• Excellent organizational and communication skills.


• Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.


• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, based on guest bookings.
