Responsibilities



  • Manage correspondence with all applicable State and Federal agencies dealing with health, safety and environmental matters.

  • Comply with and maintain all State and Federal mandatory reporting, whether monthly, quarterly or annually.

  • Supply statistical information for external audits, client bids, third party databases, and general client or agency requests.

  • Recommend appropriate courses of action by the company in order tremain compliant with regulations and standards.

  • Manage document and report accidents.

  • Work with all relevant stakeholders tensure an accident free environment both internally and on the corridor.

  • Investigate and document workplace accidents/incidents tdetermine probably cause, contributing factors and appropriate controls and/or corrective action as necessary with distribution of findings/lessons learned tincrease awareness.

  • Coordinate training programs for company personnel targeted treduce employee injuries, damage tassets or harm tthe environment.

  • Remain informed of State and Federal regulations in order teducate personnel and tmaintain company involvement and compliance with any changes brought forth.

  • Maintain HSE related company documents and manuals, i.e.: HSE Procedures.

  • Coordinate Emergency Response Exercises involving local Law Enforcement, Fire Department, etc.

  • Coordinate and monitor all risk management activities within the company.

  • Liaise with departmental managers, relevant technical subject matter experts tensure validity of data within the safety case.

  • Produce reports as requested tfacilitate KPI performance tracking.

  • Facilitate safety action group meetings (SAG).

  • Coordinate the inputting and updating of data intthe risk management database.

  • Facilitate proper completion of risk management documents by interfacing with all stakeholders tensure a consistent methodology and standard is maintained.

  • Research and draft communications on the risk management system and safety case.

  • All other duties as assigned.


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.

  • Experience in Transportation Industry is an added advantage.

  • HSE related certification is compulsory.
