  • Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual who has a strong business development, sales, and marketing background in the Agricultural sector.

  • The ideal candidate will lead all business operations to ensure all-round profitability of the company’s products, responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans that increase brand awareness, generate revenue growth, and promote the expansion of its business in Nigeria.


Job Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives in Nigeria.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, local and international partners, suppliers, NGOs, customers, and employees.

  • Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Identify and mitigate risks to the business.

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team.


Person Specification



  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture related, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A Master's Degree will be an added advantage.

  • At least 7 years of experience in the agricultural sector in Nigeria, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role in business development.

  • Strong understanding of the agricultural market and dynamics in Nigeria, including trends, challenges, opportunities, and ability to network strategically.

  • A good knowledge base of seeds and an ability to be trainable

  • Must be willing to travel at the slightest notice.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful business strategies.

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
