Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on network cabling, including but not limited to Ethernet, fiber optics, structured cabling systems, and data center cabling.
- Assist in preparing technical proposals, including analyzing RFIs/RFPs, and providing accurate and detailed technical input for bids.
- Validate technical requirements in tenders and suggest optimal solutions.
- Collaborate with the proposal team to develop a clear, concise, and technically sound narrative.
- Participate in proposal reviews, ensuring technical accuracy and coherence.
- Advise on current industry standards, best practices, and regulations related to network cabling.
- Engage in knowledge transfer, providing training and mentoring as necessary to other team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. An advanced degree or certification in a relevant area is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in network cabling and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of federal government contracting and proposal processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as BICSI and ANSI/TIA.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Other nice to have requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar role, especially within a bid/proposal team.
- Experience with network design and architecture.
- Professional certification in network cabling (e.g., BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)).
