Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on network cabling, including but not limited to Ethernet, fiber optics, structured cabling systems, and data center cabling.


• Assist in preparing technical proposals, including analyzing RFIs/RFPs, and providing accurate and detailed technical input for bids.


• Validate technical requirements in tenders and suggest optimal solutions.


• Collaborate with the proposal team to develop a clear, concise, and technically sound narrative.


• Participate in proposal reviews, ensuring technical accuracy and coherence.


• Advise on current industry standards, best practices, and regulations related to network cabling.


• Engage in knowledge transfer, providing training and mentoring as necessary to other team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. An advanced degree or certification in a relevant area is a plus.


• Demonstrated experience and expertise in network cabling and infrastructure.


• Knowledge of federal government contracting and proposal processes.


• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as BICSI and ANSI/TIA.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.


• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.

Other nice to have requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar role, especially within a bid/proposal team.


• Experience with network design and architecture.


• Professional certification in network cabling (e.g., BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)).
