Job Description



  • Lead the process design activities on Studies, FEEDs and EPC Projects ensuring that design meets contractual, safety and quality requirements and is delivered on time and within assigned budgets.

  • Understand the technical and commercial risks associated with project scopes and manage these risks through execution.

  • Ensure that designs satisfy all operational and safety requirements. Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.

  • File process calculations and other documents in the proper manner at the conclusion of design work.

  • Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check work of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate.

  • Develop the basis of design as the Lead Process Engineer, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations.

  • Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements.

  • Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions and P&IDs for review and approval.

  • Be responsible for the checking or approval of process calculations in accordance with Client procedures.

  • Perform and check safety related calculations and provide input to HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and other safety reviews.

  • Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project 3D CAD model.

  • Ensure that requirements of Licensor's Secrecy Agreements are known and complied within the work performed.

  • Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with Client Engineers

  • Assist as required in the preparation of Operating Manuals.


Qualifications



  • Chemical Engineering Degree

  • COREN Certified preferred.

  • Experience of leading work on Studies, FEED and EPC Projects

  • Specific experience in Oil & Gas Refinery, Energy, Chemicals, Carbon Capture and Hydrogen sectors.

  • Experience of delivery of Brownfield and Greenfield projects.

  • Proven core Process Engineering skills, including design experience.

  • A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organisational awareness.

  • Ability to impact and influence fellow workers.

  • Demonstration of customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives.

  • Display analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology.
