Responsibilities


Inventory and Supplies:



  • Inspecting the inventory and ordering more supplies and stock if necessary.

  • Inspecting the inventory and reporting any faulty or inconsistent items right away.

  • Developing and putting into practice buying strategy.

  • Track popular products

  • Ensuring that every item purchased complies with the requisite quality standards and requirements.

  • Enter order details, such as vendors, quality, prices, etc, into the database.


Market Survey:



  • Conducting research on products and finding new vendors and suppliers.

  • Conducting market research to stay current on new trends and commercial prospects.

  • Managing supplier relationships and haggling over terms of contracts, costs, delivery, etc.

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and take care of unpaid invoices.

  • Find the vendorswho offer the most cost-effective materials.

  • Research potential suppliers and negotiate rates.

  • Communicates with suppliers to address any delivery, quality, price, or terms of sale issues that might come up.


Purchase and Delivery:



  • Locating resources, purchasing goods and services, and negotiating the most advantageous contracts and bargains.

  • Reviews contracts and purchase orders to ensure that they follow business and departmental rules.

  • Establishing trustworthy connections with customers, suppliers, and partners.

  • Create and put into action purchasing strategy.

  • Enhance the methods and procedures for purchasing.

  • Complete construction of the highest complexity and the procurement of services commodities in accordance with corporate policy.


Requirements



  • Minimum of B.Sc Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management, or other relevant field of study

  • Relevant certification in any of the following from a recognized institution: Procurement/Supply, Transport, or Storage

  • A minimum of 3years of experience or equivalent industry experience in lieu of education.

  • Advanced procurement certification is preferred.

  • Sound Knowledge of Inventory ERP, and SAP is an added advantage.

  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience is required;

  • Excellent attention to detail, a highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, and ability to work independently;

  • Expert User of Microsoft Office Suite 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Must reside in Abuja.
