As a Sponsorship Manager in a corporate organization, your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage sponsorship programs to support the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
You will be responsible for identifying potential sponsors, negotiating sponsorship agreements, and maintaining strong relationships with existing sponsors.
Your role will involve collaborating with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful sponsorship activations and fulfillment.
The Sponsorship Manager plays a crucial role in driving revenue generation, brand exposure, and community engagement through sponsorship initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive sponsorship strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
Develop proposals in alignment to sponsorship strategies.
Formulate research parameters to identify industry and market trends for development of sponsorship strategies.
Conduct research and analysis to identify potential sponsors that align with the organization's target audience and brand values.
Develop plans to close gaps in sponsorship portfolio.
Identify sponsorship opportunities, including events, conferences, programs, and other initiatives, to maximize brand exposure and revenue generation.
Proactively approach potential sponsors, build relationships, and present sponsorship opportunities.
Negotiate and finalize sponsorship agreements, including financial terms, deliverables, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure all sponsorship agreements comply with relevant regulations and policies.
Manage budgets in alignment with departmental work plans.
Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, acting as their main point of contact within the organization.
Regularly communicate with sponsors to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for additional collaboration.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance sponsor recognition and engagement, such as exclusive networking events, sponsor spotlights, or customized benefits.
Manage onboarding of new sponsors
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful activation and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements.
Coordinate the creation of sponsor-related marketing materials, advertising campaigns, and other promotional assets.
Monitor sponsorship activations, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports to sponsors and internal stakeholders.
Conduct post-event or post-campaign evaluations to assess the success of sponsorships against predetermined goals and KPIs.
Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future sponsorships.
Provide on-the-job training to staff.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in sponsorship management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree / HND in a reputable institution (advanced degree would be an added advantage).
At least 2 years experience (Past experience working in a healthcare organization would give an
additional advantage).
Proven experience in sponsorship management or related roles, preferably within a corporate organization.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present sponsorship opportunities to potential sponsors.
Exceptional time, resource management & organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of legal and regulatory considerations related to sponsorship agreements.
Familiarity with various marketing channels, including digital, social media, and traditional advertising.
