Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical components of diesel vehicles and diagnose issues accurately


• Use manual, computerized diagnostic or both methods to identify potential problems on diesel engines and interpret the results to offer suitable solutions


• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts


• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts


• Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown


• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance


• Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles


• Conduct routine maintenance on the vehicle


• Conduct major repair on vehicle


• Repair or replace damaged or dysfunctional electrical parts


• Maintain equipment and tools of the organization in good condition


• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.


• Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.

Other Requirements

• Automotive Mechanical education and training


• Technical College and Vocational school(LASTVEB) certification


• 5 - 7 years experience as an Auto Mechanic (Diesel Engine)in a transport and logistics company.


• Experience in troubleshooting and fixing automobile diesel engine faults on Toyota Hiace, Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200 and Ford vehicles.
