Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Shelf Health and Effective Administration:



  • Maintains store shelves by observing displays of company products

  • Check quality continuously, respond to poor quality or damage

  • Keep area clean, tidy and uncluttered including store room

  • Observe and Maintain perfect store through maintaining inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels; prompting supervisors to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return for damaged products.

  • Identify cross merchandising opportunities and ensure execution after approval

  • Provides information by reporting growth, expansion, or closing of supermarkets in assigned territory.

  • Timeously identify problems areas and communicate to relevant party for resolution

  • Observe call cycle by reviewing priorities with supervisor; discussing special instructions, product promotions, new products, and price changes.

  • Document data or Input data on Handheld Terminals (HHT) with integrity and observing data hygiene.

  • Ensuring that the set sales targets are achieved.

  • Daily collection sales orders from the outlets.

  • Observe layout and themes according to the planograms.

  • Maintain Minimum number of stores required.

  • Helps field sales representatives with special promotions by setting-up displays at aisle ends; checking daily on special promotions; observing customer reaction to special promotions; forwarding observations to management through supervisors; removing promotions at end of special promotion period.

  • Enhances merchandising and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Ensure professional appearance and conduct

  • Ensure company uniform is clean and tidy

  • Maintains customer relationships by visiting store, (modern trade outlets) & General Trade outlets and answering their questions; responding to special requests; describing product features.

  • Knowledge of competitor Products and Positioning of our brands in the market.


Effective teamwork and self-management:



  • Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards.

  • Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures

  • Demonstrate flexibility in balancing achievement of own objectives with abilities to understand and respond to organizational needs

  • Responsible for own career pathing and initiative

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; as organized by learning and development officer.

  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Requirements



  • Grade D+ (D Plus) in Secondary Education

  • 3 months’ experience in Merchandising 

  • Valid motorbike / vehicle licence

  • Own motorbike / vehicle
