Job Summary:


The successful candidate must have some exposure to a wide range of laboratory equipment. He shall be responsible for the installation, qualification, maintenance, calibration, service, and repair of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS), Gas Chromatography (GC), UV/VIS Spectrophotometer, Colorimeters, PH meters, Viscometers, Balances, and sundry laboratory equipment.


Responsibilities:



  • Be responsible for the installation, qualification & calibration of laboratory equipment while being accurate and working within the agreed timelines and in line with statutory requirements.

  • Ensure engineering documents are controlled through the Firm’s record management system. This would include but is not limited to tender/contract documentation, quality control, library of standards/guidelines/specifications, inspection records, engineering drawings, registers, and other records as directed.

  • Assist in the development of Engineering Services training program and be responsible for the implementation of the program and its upkeep.

  • Assist in the preparation of programs and estimates for engineering budgets.

  • Be involved in the development of project designs and specifications.

  • Be involved in the quality verification of processes and materials.

  • Assist in the preparation of specifications, tender, and contracts

  • Liaises with clients to develop, negotiate and schedule project proposals.

  • Assist in the monitoring and reporting of the progress of works and expenditure against budget allocations.

  • Supervises and inspects projects in line with industry & Firm’s standards.

  • Provides training for clients & customers on how to effectively use equipment after installation.

  • Oversee projects to meet Firm & Client’s requirements within budget.

  • Provide guidance, direction, and effective solution to clients and team members.

  • Works with the Business Development team to develop on-time proposals with the greatest value to both the customer and the Firm.

  • Liaise with public utility providers, authorities, and contractors where required and as directed.

  • Manages data and analysis for equipment performance and operation.

  • Carry out miscellaneous tasks as may be required.


Requirements:



  • B.Sc. in any Engineering field, B.Sc. in Physics, chemistry, or related field.

  • 2-3years experience in a similar role

  • Good communication skills

  • Goal-oriented and a good team player
