  • As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading and managing our engineering team, overseeing all aspects of engineering projects, and ensuring the successful completion of construction and development projects.

  • Your role will be crucial in delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable real estate solutions.

  • Responsibilities:


Leadership and Team Management:



  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Set clear expectations, delegate responsibilities, and provide mentoring and coaching to team members.

  • Drive the recruitment and retention of top engineering talent, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.


Project Management:



  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgetary constraints, and project timelines.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and other departments, to ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Conduct regular project reviews to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.


Technical Expertise:



  • Possess a deep understanding of engineering principles and standards relevant to real estate development, such as structural engineering, building systems, and codes and regulations.

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex engineering issues and ensure compliance with industry best practices.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the field of engineering, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs where applicable.


Quality Assurance:



  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality construction and development projects.

  • Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures, conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify any deficiencies.

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to continuously improve construction practices and processes.


Cost and Resource Management:



  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effective project execution.

  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity.

  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.


Compliance and Safety:



  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the engineering team and across project sites.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as necessary.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. COREN Certification is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in a leadership role in the real estate or construction industry, overseeing large-scale engineering projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant regulations and codes.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in engineering design and project management.
