Responsibilities


We seek a Quality surveyor who can deliver on the following:



  • Ensure that employees have proper safety training and are aware of hazards in their work environment.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Develop and implement health and safety management systems to identify and control hazards, mitigate risks, and promote a safe working environment on construction sites

  • Inform workers of potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental breaches to identify root causes and develop strategies to prevent their recurrence.

  • Write reports detailing accident investigations and conclusions to inform future safety measures.

  • Conduct regular health, safety, and environmental audits and inspections of construction sites to identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-compliance.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote health, safety, and environmental awareness among construction workers, contractors, and management.

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and communication systems.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure emergency preparedness and effectively coordinate response efforts.

  • Ensure that safety equipment, signage, and environmental controls are in place and functional.

  • Inspect, identify, and assist in correcting unsafe conditions, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and reporting workplace incidents.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to health, safety, and environmental performance, including training records, inspection reports, incident documentation, and permits.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Public Health Engineering, and relevant field.

  • 2 -3 years of experience in Health Safety and Environment Officer, or similar role.

  • HSE qualification such as NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) general certificate or an equivalent.

  • Certification in first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is added advantage.
