Job Summary



  • Drive sustainable financial growth and expand the company’s customer base.


Responsibilities

Strategic:



  • Drive business development efforts through client relations, submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations and other related activities.

  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.

  • Plan and implement long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives.


Operational:



  • Identify and convert business leads.

  • Develop and review project submittals for quality assurance, technical accuracy, and customer-oriented solutions

  • Advise clients on the businesses' products or services.

  • Serve as key point of contact with customer and lead or guide all customer facing presentations.

  • Maintain good working relationships with the business development team.

  • Build and maintain valuable/healthy customer relationships.

  • Conduct market research to gather information and identify opportunities.

  • Negotiate and close deals with clients.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, competitors and vendors.


Skills and qualifications



  • Candidates should possess a First Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years proven leadership experience driving business development initiatives to secure significant energy, or related, project contracts.

  • Proven experience and skills in the preparation of proposals, bids and tenders is a key requirement.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for the concise / clear expression of technical and nontechnical concepts.

  • Detail orientation.

  • Good business acumen.

  • Ability to build business relationships.

  • Ability to build and lead teams.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.

  • Problem-solving aptitude.

  • Must be a team player and self driven.
