Due to growth we now seek to engage the services of Cargo Officers who live within the Lekki environs.

Job Summary /Objective:

The staff will be responsible for shipment assessment and raising of shipment assessment advice (light parcels, bulky shipments, household items and charters etc)

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT

• HND/B.Sc in any discipline with a minimum of 2nd class honours.


• MUST have completed NYSC programme.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Core Skills

• 100% inspection of items to be contracted on waybill


• Properly identify, classify, mark, label and document shipment.


• Ascertain and advice the customer on the appropriate packaging required


• Correct price allocation of waybill types


• Raise payment advice for the customer to make payment


• Ensure proper / detailed description of items on the assessment advice or where not practicable use “as per attached list”. A copy of such list should accompany the waybill.


• Tagging and marking of waybills


• Supervise porters on proper packaging of shipments as advised in (b) above
