Main Job Responsibilities

• Consult with organization leaders to determine the IT system’s role within an organization.


• Research new technologies to determine their effectiveness and efficiency of an organization.


• Prepare cost and benefits analysis to help management determine if IT systems and upgrades to existing computing infrastructure are financially worthwhile.


• Work with the IT team to design and implement new systems by selecting and configuring software and hardware.


• Oversee the installation and configuring of new systems, customizing them for the organization.


• Plans and documents computer data file structure; develops, programs, manages, and maintains complex statistical databases; performs or supervises data entry.


• Selects data samples, prepares questionnaires and surveys, and conducts logic checks to maintain data quality.


• Uses existing statistical software and a variety of established statistical methods to gather, analyze, and interpret research data to derive useful information for research studies.


• Formats data, and develops and prepares reports, charts, tables, and other related documents and graphics.


• Assists in project planning and management with clients and other staff members.


• May support and supervise data entry personnel on specific project-related tasks.


• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


• Conduct tests to make sure the systems are working as expected.

Competency Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification with 3 - 5 years work experience.


• Strong mathematical and analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully.


• Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software


• Ability to plan, create, program and manage complex statistical computer databases.


• Knowledge of statistical research principles, methods, procedures, and standards.


• Ability to apply a range of standard statistical techniques in support of scientific research studies and/or experiments with a clear understanding of statistical terms and concepts


• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal, and to compile organize statistical information retrieved and present findings to management in a simplified understandable format and manner.


• Excellent Interpersonal skills with the capacity to work alone and within teams.


• Experience working with private and sensitive personal information


• Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed


• Interpersonal and customer service skills are required when meeting and working with potential clients


• Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously


• Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies.
