Job Description


This job holder ensures IBEDC prepayment meters are programmed to enable vending and provides prepayment operations support for field staff and customers to ensure protection of the prepayment revenue in achieving business objectives.


Job Requirements



  • A good Bachelor's Degree (in Business disciplines or any related field).

  • Membership of a professional body in the Management or Marketing field is required.

  • At least 0 - 3 years post-qualification experience.

  • Experience in a similar role at a Utility company will be an added advantage.


Job Responsibility



  • Provides maintenance support for offline vending system and customer card re-creation

  • Ensures correct capturing of existing customer information updates (tariff change, debt factorization, and adjustment).

  • Programming of new meters, factorization of arrears, and refunds.

  • Generation of engineering tokens for resolution of meter credit loading issues.

  • Ensures completeness and correctness of all inputs into the vending system.

  • Resolves PPM-related customer issues from all media of complaints.

  • Prepares monthly energy sale reports and other ad-hoc reports on all vending platforms.

  • Liaise with other billing units - Payment Channels, Postpaid Operations, and MIS, to ensure revenue assurance of Prepayment operations.

  • Providing 1st level support for CCU and field officers.   

  • Loss prevention by adhering to SOPs.

  • Performs other Ad-hoc assignments as defined by Team Lead, Prepayment Operations.
