Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair utility systems, including water, steam, compressed air, power and refrigeration systems, ensuring efficient operation


• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs or coordinate external service.


• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on utility equipment and systems.


• Monitor utility systems, identify potential problems, and take corrective actions for optimal performance.


• Adhere to safety guidelines, regulations, and maintain accurate maintenance records.


• Collaborate with the production team, providing technical support and coordinating maintenance activities


• Identify opportunities for process enhancements or equipment upgrades.

Requirements

• HND or BSc In Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related course.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a utility technician in any Food and Beverage company.


• Any other technical qualification is an added advantage


• Knowledge in safety, OHSA certification is an added advantage


• Hands-on experience in preventive and predictive maintenance implementation


• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a team environment.


• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and accurate record-keeping.


• Knowledge of production machinery, processes and standards.


• Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office packages.


• Good decision-making and ability to act quickly when problems arise.


• Ability to lead a team of technicians.


• Documentation and organization skills.


• Full understanding of customers’ expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
