A dynamic Senior IT Specialist, with an M.Sc. in Computer Science and over 10 years of hands-on extensive experience with IT Infrastructure technologies and Information Security implementation and operation in the Private Sector.

Responsibilities:

• Set up the company’s Head Office/Factory Network  as well as those of the branch offices.


• Connects the company’s branch office network to the Head Office through VPN.


• Set up and manage the company's Active Directory and E-mail System, creating and adding users and archiving the mailbox when necessary.


• Set up and manage the company's Firewall using Sophos.


• Liaising with Internet Service Providers to ensure optimal service.


• Manage the company's Telecommunication Equipment using VOIP.


• Manage and connect the company's NVR to the network for remote viewing and recommend the purchase and installation of IP cameras at strategic locations.


• Manage the company's IT infrastructure/Datacenter.


• Support users and resolve issues with Office 365, Operating System, accounting package, and other IT-related issues physically and remotely using any desk and teamviewer.


• Resolve Issues with the plant PLC's by setting up remote connections to appropriate quarters over the internet.


• Recommend the Purchase of Computers and Software.


• Set up and manage a central printing system reducing cost of cartridge/stationeries.


• Oversees IT Budget and ensures cost effectiveness.


• Maintains an accurate inventory of the company’s computer hardware and software.


• Determine the timeframes for major IT projects, system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.


• Download and Install Critical Updates and Patches.


• Set up automatic daily data backup and store backup as appropriate.


• Online tracking of devices (Company fleets) within the country


• Prepare report: (exceptional/risk management report, etc. on the movement of the devices using Geotab Checkmate, tracking software

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a Bachelor’s and M.Sc Degree in Computer Information Systems or related IT specialization.


• Requires at least 10 years of similar or related experience.


• Handson Experience and professional certification is a requirement for this role.
