Objectives
- The Manager of Strategic Planning will develop and direct the strategic and long-range goals of the organization including proposals to enter new markets and to expand existing market presence.
Responsible for The Strategic Planning Manager is responsible for the following employees:
- Business Analyst
- Market Research Analyst
- Data Analyst
Main Duties
- Understand and keep abreast of the company’s business, products, services, competitors, industry, and target markets.
- Collecting and analysing actionable information about competitors and the marketplace to form a business strategy.
- Collaborates with executives and managers to develop long-range, strategic goals.
- Identifies and reviews pricing and market trends; analyses and applies this information in development of strategies for individual market segments.
- Monitors business climate, trends in technology and development, and government activity in areas of the company’s current and anticipated product lines.
- Leads trials concerning new business initiatives, based on results, makes, recommends, and implements adjustments and modifications.
- Collaborates with MD, GM, product managers and line managers to produce business and product plans that are profitable; evaluates these plans on a periodic basis.
- Serves as negotiator with third parties for potential collaboration or product acquisitions.
- Utilize data analytics to help your company make better decisions about where to invest its resources.

Training / professional experience / practical experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or industry-related field required; MBA highly preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in the industry or acting as a consultant on major strategic planning projects required.
