About the role:



  • We are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our awesome merchant acquisition team as Head of Sales!

  • You will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that targets potential customers and drives revenue growth.

  • You will be relied upon to identify new opportunities to expand the market segment and drive business growth while also enabling increased revenue from existing accounts.

  • This key leadership role offers significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.


Key responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to acquire new businesses; coordinate business generation activities and develop customized targeted sales strategies for top enterprise merchants.

  • Grow and mentor a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets.

  • Identify and target potential customers through market research and analysis.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target companies.

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and demonstrations to potential customers.

  • Develop and sustain a prospective client database; Close sales deals and negotiate contracts.

  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback to continuously improve sales techniques and strategies.

  • Understand client needs, offer solutions and support, and answer potential client and follow-up call questions.

  • Meet all quotas for cold, active, and inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.

  • Collaborate with leadership on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans.

  • Oversee customer relationship management (CRM) of key business accounts

  • Identify business challenges, conduct competitive analysis, propose analytically grounded, well-researched solutions, and drive execution.

  • Monitor emerging market trends and competitive intelligence across the fintech and financial services space.

  • Own & evolve the business development strategies outlining our target merchant, and the right value propositions to win them and differentiate us competitively.

  • Identify customer challenges, propose analytically grounded, well-researched solutions, and drive execution.

  • Work with the Business Leadership to build, launch and scale multiple large partnerships (including strategy, partner selection, terms negotiation, and overall execution).


Requirements:



  • A minimum of First Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or other related fields.

  • 6+ Years of experience in sales of B2B products for Banks, Telcos, and/or SaaS companies

  • Strong understanding of the B2B SaaS sales process, including lead generation, qualification, and closing.

  • Extensive experience as a sales and business development expert.

  • Experience building go-to-market partnerships with strategic partners.

  • Ability to build and deliver on a strategic plan to grow partner revenue.

  • Proven ability to develop good relationships, internally and externally, and build upon those relationships to scale sales and partnerships.

  • Experience negotiating deals of various sizes and complexities.

  • Experience selling solutions to business decision-makers.

  • Partner and collaborate with peers and parallel teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met.

  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

  • Ability to draft, decipher and negotiate business or product offerings.

  • Complete understanding of contemporary business and market trends.

  • Possess a sizable network of potential top merchants.

  • Effective communicator with great attention to detail.

  • Good analytic, critical thinking and research skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).

  • Experience managing and leading a sales team is a plus.
