As a Stewardess in our Residence, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our 4-bedroom home. You will be responsible for cooking 3 - 4 delicious and healthy African meals a day, without the use of Maggi, along with preparing smoothies, salads, and juices. Additionally, you will maintain a pristine living space through daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing. Your expertise in making Ewedu soup daily will be highly valued. Adhering to safety protocols, respecting privacy, and maintaining confidentiality are also key responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and cook 3 - 4 nutritious African meals daily, showcasing your culinary skills without the reliance on Maggi.

  • Create mouthwatering smoothies, salads, and juices to add variety and healthy options to our menu.

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the residence, ensuring a spotless environment through regular cleaning activities.

  • Handle laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens.

  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, keeping all utensils and surfaces sanitized and well-organized.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in preparing authentic Ewedu soup daily, meeting our preferences for traditional Nigerian cuisine.

  • Effectively manage grocery inventory, create shopping lists, and source quality food supplies, prepare food menu for the week ahead as needed.

  • Perform household chores such as grocery shopping and running errands, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.

  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the lady of the house immediately.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while on the job.

  • Respect the privacy of the family and their guests at all times.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family’s personal affairs.


Requirements:



  • Secondary school WAEC or equivalent qualification is a plus.

  • At least 5 years experience and expertise in cooking African cuisine, particularly Nigerian dishes, with a strong focus on preparing Ewedu soup, Banga, Edinkankong, Ekpa/ Ikokore is a plus

  • Excellent knowledge of healthy cooking techniques, utilizing natural ingredients to create flavorful and nutritious meals without relying on Maggi or artificial seasonings.

  • Proficiency in all aspects of cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and organizing, ensuring an impeccably maintained living environment.

  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating exceptional time management and organizational skills.

  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to follow instructions meticulously.

  • A God-fearing Christian or Muslim, preferably of Cross River or Yoruba descent, aligning with our cultural values.

  • Physical stamina and flexibility to perform various tasks, including standing, lifting, and bending.

  • Off day will be once a month from Saturday at 4pm to resume Sunday at 5pm, however no Off day in the first month.

  • Willingness to start work at 5am and close at 9pm with breaktime during the day.


Note: The salary range of ₦50,000 - ₦100,000
