ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and lead a team of engineers and researchers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.


•  Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to encourage idea generation and problem-solving.


• Develop and implement an R&D strategy aligned with the company's goals and market trends. 


• Identify areas for research, prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively.


• Plan, execute, and monitor R&D projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. 


• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as product management and marketing teams, to align R&D efforts with customer requirements and market demands.


• Drive the development of new base station technologies, features, and products. Stay updated with industry advancements and emerging trends to incorporate innovative solutions into the company's offerings.


• Collaborate with external partners, academic institutions, and research organizations to leverage their expertise and resources. 


• Explore opportunities for collaborative research projects, joint ventures, and technology licensing.


• Identify and protect the company's intellectual property through patents, copyrights, and other legal means. Stay informed about patent landscapes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in base station technology, wireless communications, and related fields. 


• Provide technical guidance to the R&D team, contribute to technical discussions, and solve complex technical challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related field is typically required. 


• Several years of relevant experience in research and development, preferably in the telecommunications industry or a related field. 


• Strong knowledge of base station technologies, wireless communications protocols (such as 4G, 5G, and beyond), network architectures, and related software and hardware components.


•  Proficiency in relevant programming languages, simulation tools, and data analysis software is beneficial.


• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Strong project management capabilities, including planning, resource allocation, and risk assessment.


•  Effective communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills are essential.


• A passion for innovation, problem-solving, and staying at the forefront of technological advancements. 


• Ability to think creatively, identify opportunities, and drive innovative solutions.


• Understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the telecommunications industry. 


• Ability to align R&D efforts with business objectives and contribute to product development strategies.
