Job Description

• Review and reconcile all portfolio bank statements and custody statements.


• Compilation of rates from issuers and settlement of transactions


• Negotiate and coordinate with banks for best rates while avoiding exposure risk.


• Ensure issuers provide investment certificates for transactions.


• Follow up on transactions with issuers, finance unit, and or relevant signatories


• Ensure prompt response/ execution of client requests, queries, and inquiries/complaints.


• Valuation and reconciliation of all portfolios as well as preparation of portfolio reports for internal and regulatory purposes


• Liaise with the Finance Team regarding the management of all the aspects related to the general ledger accounting for all the investments. 


• Lead the design and rollout of global best practices for unit


• Monitor weekly maturities, corporate actions, and portfolios cash positions


• Prepare an Investment Factsheet for products with the Investment team.


• Responsible for the import and upload of data related to daily, weekly, and monthly valuations into the investment software


• All other operations-related functions 

Requirements

Qualification

• Minimum Second-Class Upper Degree from a top-tier University.


• ACA/ ACCA is an added advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years of work experience in an asset management firm


• Strong written & verbal communication skills and experience presenting a quantitative analysis 


• Eagerness to learn the entire process and understand the big picture


• Ability to deal with ambiguity and bring structure to complex questions with limited guidance


• Strong numerical, analytical reasoning, project management, and problem-solving skills
