The Maintenance, Repair and Operations Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of MRO goods and services.
This includes working with suppliers to ensure that the company receives the best possible prices, quality, and delivery terms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MRO procurement and be able to use this knowledge to drive cost savings and improve the company's bottom line.
Responsibilities
Identify and source new suppliers for MRO goods and services.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible prices, quality, and delivery terms.
Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues.
Work with internal stakeholders to understand their MRO needs and ensure that the company is meeting those needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Five to seven years experience as an MRO Procurement Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or maintenance-intensive organisation.
Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations, with expertise in MRO sourcing and supplier management.
Proficient in utilising procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools to manage procurement activities.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented and organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance related to MRO supplies and equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach to resolving procurement-related issues.
