Position Overview



  • The Maintenance, Repair and Operations Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of MRO goods and services.

  • This includes working with suppliers to ensure that the company receives the best possible prices, quality, and delivery terms.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MRO procurement and be able to use this knowledge to drive cost savings and improve the company's bottom line.


Responsibilities



  • Identify and source new suppliers for MRO goods and services.

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible prices, quality, and delivery terms.

  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing purchase orders, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand their MRO needs and ensure that the company is meeting those needs.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Five to seven years experience as an MRO Procurement Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or maintenance-intensive organisation.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations, with expertise in MRO sourcing and supplier management.

  • Proficient in utilising procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools to manage procurement activities.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented and organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance related to MRO supplies and equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach to resolving procurement-related issues.
