Responsibilities



  • Departmental record management.

  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion, compensation and benefits.

  • Liaising with a wide range of people and be involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety.

  • Developing with line managers, HR planning strategies which consider immediate and long-term staff requirements.

  • Planning, and sometimes delivering training, including inductions for new staff.

  • Analyzing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.

  • Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.

  • Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.

  • Assist in planning and executing end-of-year activities.

  • Maintaining employee records.

  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.


Requirements:



  • B.Sc/HND in HR adminstration or related field

  • 3 years proven experience working as an HR and administrative officer, or any other relevant managerial or administrative role

  • CIPM certification is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws.

  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.

  • Knowledge of HR software.
