The Welding and Fabrication Supervisor will manage and communicate job expectations and performance requirements to the welding team, Initiate, coordinate, and enforce production, safety, quality, systems, policies, and procedures.
Duties
Ensure materials are received promptly from store for week plan and sign off.
Report materials shortages and follow up on it, to get it solved.
Ensure daily/weekly adherence of production plan.
Ensure timely start of daily work and materials are received promptly by section for weekly plan.
Manage staff workflow to recover loss due to absenteeism/Machine breakdown.
Ensure all staff in your section are always following all safety and quality procedure and guideline.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and machine in your section.
Maintain a conducive working environment and good relationship amongst the personnel in your section.
Organize periodic on the job training for welders and grinders to improve quality of product. Training & developing your second line.
Gathering and analyzing information from shop floor to identify root causes in resolving constrain to avoid delay in production.
Carry out and report weekly and monthly floor inventory of materials to tally with AX.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a B.Eng. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Welding, or related courses.
