Description

• Develop, enforce and monitor RPAS maintenance standards maintain a record of RPAS defects and any unserviceability


• Ensure that specialist equipment items including payload equipment are serviceable


• Maintain a thorough technical knowledge of RPAS operating under the authority of the ROC


• Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with the procedures detailed in the relevant RPAS section of the RPAS Operational Library.


• Investigate all significant defects in the RPAS as required by the Chief Engineer


• Other roles as assigned by the Lead UAV Technician.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Higher National Diploma in a relevant field such as aviation technology, electronics, or mechatronics.


• Strong technical skills or experience in working with UAVs, electronics, and/or avionics,


• Skilled in Unmanned Aerial Systems Engineering and Maintenance, Aircraft Standard Maintenance Practicesminimum of 3 years


• Skilled in UAV Assembly and Maintenance.


• Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of computers


• Installing and configuration of UAV avionics and payload for a fixed-wing, VTOL, and rotary drone


• Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Internal Piloting.


• Experienced in flight line operations and safety


• Skilled in automation systems design and implementation for aerospace and industrial applications.


• Hand-eye coordination


• Robust problem-solving abilities


• Excellent electronic and mechanical skills


• Expertise in multitasking


• Keen attention to details
