The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the marketing and growth efforts of the business to meet strategic goals and objectives as well as position them as retail pioneers.


The role involves creating a new brand image through planned and targeted marketing. He/she will plan, develop, implement and monitor the overall business marketing strategy including brand positioning, market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.


Responsibilities



  • Create a tailored brand and marketing strategy to ensure that the business stands out in the industry.

  • Build a consistent, compelling and easily recognisable brand image across all marketing channels to appeal to both local and international markets.

  • Create a social media content calendar that aligns with the brand’s vision, gives the business a competitive edge and ultimately increases revenue.

  • Create an email marketing list using existing client data.

  • Ensure consistent and relevant press coverage.

  • Source, recruit and manage a professional team of creatives to ensure that social media and all other marketing content are professional and of high quality.

  • Ensure all communication – online and offline- is in line with the brand’s image, ethics and business direction.

  • Look out for new and innovative ways for the business to get collaborations and ensure it remains relevant in the industry.

  • Organise special events regularly to increase profitability for the business.

  • Oversee the maintenance of the businesses’ website, ensuring that aesthetics, content and functionality meet the required standard.

  • Prepare and manage a well-rounded sales and marketing budget with timelines for proposed projects included.

  • Drive sales to achieve sales targets.


Requirements



  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in B2B and/or Marketing

  • BA in Marketing, Branding, or a similar field

  • A good understanding of the fashion retail business, including the intricacies of branding

  • An eagerness to learn and stay updated on relevant industry trends

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Creative thinking and innovation

  • Positive and friendly disposition

  • Sound numerical abilities

  • Web and Graphic design skills

  • Teamwork skills

  • Proactivity
