Job Objective
- We are looking for a resourceful Branch Manager to assign and direct all the work performed in the branch and to drive sales and generate revenue growth.
- You will manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction and proper sales operation.
- The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the branch team, ensuring their professional development and motivation.
- Set clear performance targets and objectives for the team, monitoring their progress and providing regular feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and encouraging a customer-centric approach.
- Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch sales targets and maximize business growth.
- Identify potential market opportunities and customer segments, and devise plans to capture new business.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay updated and adapt strategies accordingly.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, including staffing, budgeting, and administrative tasks.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as sales figures, customer satisfaction, and claims processing, to drive operational efficiency and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as underwriting, claims, and customer service, to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of issues.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks, including insurance laws, guidelines, and data privacy regulations.
- Implement and enforce risk management practices to mitigate potential risks and protect the branch's assets and reputation.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance levels and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of ethical conduct and integrity within the branch, promoting compliance awareness among employees.
Customer Service and Retention:
- Champion exceptional customer service standards and ensure customer satisfaction levels are met or exceeded.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer retention and loyalty, such as customer engagement programs and personalized services.
- Stay updated on customer feedback and market needs, recommending improvements to products, services, and processes.
Education / Qualification
- BSc Degree or equivalent qualification
- Must possess a professional qualification(s) in insurance (ACII or ACIIN)
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with 5 years In-depth knowledge of life insurance products, policies, and procedures, including underwriting, claims management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- In-depth Knowledge of sales strategies, business development techniques, and market analysis to drive revenue growth and capture new business opportunities.
