Job Objective

• To plan, coordinate and monitor the daily activities involving the maintenance of Veenocks Ltd facilities equipment & machineries to ensure they are in optimal condition for the achievement of company objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance repairs of equipment, tools & machineries used for daily business operations.


• Lead all facilities, machineries, and equipment maintenance and improvement efforts.


• Oversee timely repair and preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and machineries


• Champion periodic audit of company tools and equipment and prompt repairs or replacement as required.


• Prepare annual maintenance budget & forecasts all capital expenditure proposals in compliance with policy


• Work with the Head, HR to build maintenance process metrics & develop a system to achieve targeted performance level


• Maintain working assets & facilities, machinery parts inventory; monitor purchase orders & invoice approvals


• Contribute to the design and implementation of best practice facility and machinery maintenance strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve overall company performance


• Build, nurture and maintain healthy relationships with internal & external customers of the maintenance unit


• Work with the Safety Manager to put mechanisms to reduce operational risks at the maintenance workshop.


• Make recommendations with good business justification for the acquisition of more production equipment.


• Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources if need be.


• Participate in skill enhancement programmes required for self and team members through field days and any courses that relate to their responsibilities.

Key Performance Indicators

• Achievement of 90% minimum performance level of employees of all direct reports


• 100% achievement of approved maintenance targets and 99% OEE


• 100% implementation of approved facility and machinery maintenance policies and procedures


• Achieve 90% reduction of lost manhours of inefficiency or breakdown of company tools, machineries and facilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent in a similar discipline is preferred


• Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in facility and machinery maintenance management


• Post graduate qualifications like Master's in a relevant discipline would be an added advantage.

• Machinery Equipment Maintenance Supervisors


• Facility Maintenance Officer / Supervisor


• Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.

Reports to: 

• Factory Operations Manager.

• Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, machineries, products and processes


• Strong knowledge in maintenance and reliability

• Should be conversant with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
