Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of parts, purchasing and inventory based on demand and cost targets.
Maintain stock at a level that enables internal servicing and repair departments to complete their work without delay and avoid the costs of carrying excessive inventory.
Maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
Coach, mentor and train parts personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for current coach repair work.
Monitor re-order levels and replenish inventory to maintain proper inventory levels within set company parameters.
Work closely with maintenance response team to assist with the supply of parts for coaches at outside vendors
Work with service personnel to provide oversight for inventory, assist with ordering parts, conduct annual on-site inventory and provide training as needed to service personnel
Identifies most cost-effective means to obtain parts.
Leads employees to achieve goals and objectives; provide ingoing feedback to employees concerning strengths and areas of needed improvement.
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures with parts room employees.
Monitor and adjust parts inventory
Monitors and ensures warranty claims are addressed with appropriate response.
Fluids Lubes
Determines work to be done, techniques and tools to be used and manages workloads.
Requirements
Candidate should possess a minimum of a Diploma qualification.
2+ years’ experience with parts inventory for heavy duty truck/bus shop environment
2+ years' warehouse inventory or distribution experience
1 year of supervisory experience
Experience in interviewing, evaluating, and training preferred
Skill in working as part of a dynamic team.
Ability to solve problems and make real-time decisions.
Able to lead employees to perform the highest quality work and exceed expectations
