JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITY

• Perform monthly sales and general ledger closings, including journal entries.


• Preparation of various balance sheet schedules and P&L statements.


• Preparation of various tax reports.


• Reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly.


• Preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.


• Prepare annual depreciation and depletion tax schedules.


• Perform general accounting functions and other related duties.


• Direct involvement with month-end close procedures including preparing account reconciliations, journal entries and other supporting/tracking schedules.


• Verify and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.


• Assist in performing cash management functions such as the monitoring and recording of cash transactions, making deposits, preparation of wire transfers and bank account reconciliations.


• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with GAAP.


• Assist with preparation of supporting schedules and documents needed for external audits.


• Assist in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENT

• B.Sc/HND in Accounting or any related Courses.


• 3-4years of proven experience as an Accountant in Oil and Gas Company


• Must have vast Knowledge of financial computing software


• Good Calculation Skills


• Strong teamwork skills


• Strong computer aptitude, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, as well as experience with accounting software (preferably QuickBooks).


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.


• Self starter with strong ethical standards.


• Team player with a positive communication style.
