The CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker) is responsible for assisting Nurses and Doctors in the management of patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in immunizing and vaccinating patients.
Ensure that planning, record-keeping and documentation functions are executed efficiently and effectively.
Implements and adheres to safety standards/ precautions, infection control, and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensures high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment.
Participating in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary.
Ensures patients receive optimum patient care.
Participating in data collection and keeping doctors/nurses informed.
Participates in the department-related activities.
Performs additional tasks as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Candidate most have minimum of a Diploma of CHEW.
Applicants should have at least 2 years post qualifying experience and in possession of a valid practicing certificate..
