Job Objectives
- The Position Holder is responsible for building and sustaining high-value business relationships with Institutional Clients through the provision of superior investment advice to clientele, optimal structuring of their portfolio to meet both their short to long-term objectives, driving FUM growth, and achieving set business targets in the Institutional Asset Management Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition: Drive the identification and acquisition of prospective institutional clients (and / or workforce segments)
- Client Advisory: Provide proactive relationship management and expert asset management advisory to Clientele in respect to their investment portfolios, employee welfare schemes, liquidity management, asset replacement schemes and retirement counselling (taking into consideration their risk appetites, and other peculiar circumstances)
- Product Development: Support in the development and upgrade of wealth management solutions to take advantage of market opportunities / client needs with the aim of both driving FUM growth, enhancing the firm’s competitiveness with peer firms
- Strategic Initiatives: Support in the implementation of strategic initiatives that sustain / improve the organization’s competitive advantage within its operating environment
- Communications: Responsible for preparing and presenting monthly / quarterly performance reports. The Position Holder is also responsible for providing regular updates to the Head, Institutional Asset Management on business activities, as well as escalating issues / problems with Clients for resolution (as appropriate)
- Market Knowledge: Proactively monitor trends, developments and emerging opportunities within both the local and international macro-economic environments with the aim of being able to appropriately engage with, and advice clients on investment decisions
- Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor developments and trends within both local and global financial services industry (with particular emphasis on asset management), as well as shifts in Clients’ needs and values, competitor activities, changes in regulatory landscape etc. with the aim of providing actionable feedback to the firm in respect to how it shapes its business strategy, as well as its product development efforts
- Annual Strategy and Budget Formulation: Actively participate in the preparation of the annual strategy and budget for the firm, as well as provide ongoing support in implementation efforts towards the actualization of both
- People Management: Responsible for driving and sustaining strategic people management practices that support the organization’s ability to achieve its corporate objectives through optimal talent resourcing, employee engagement, talent management, and people development.
