Purpose

• The Cost Accountant shall be responsible for reducing the company’s financial waste and increasing profits.


• He/She primary duties include determining the actual cost and the associated expenses of manufacturing a product, analysing its profitability, and compiling the company production cost budget.

Job Description

• Collect and analyze data about operational costs.


• Establishing the standard costs of products and services.


• Develop and analyze cost standards


• Carry out cost-volume-profit analysis


• Establishing costs of business processes (Administration, Labour, Shipping etc)


• Performing Account Reconciliations


• Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management


• Recommend changes to the company’s processes & policies to reduce cost & maximize profit


• Advise Management on appropriate costing based on financial data


• Manage the company’s balance sheet and accounting books


• Supporting other company Accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure.


• Monitor and report on production budget performances


• Preparing monthly or quarterly reports within set timelines.


• And any other job assigned.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.

Software Knowledge:

• MUST have experience with ERP and SAP.

Salary

N220,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
