Job Summary:
- The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth across our industry sectors.
- Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role will focus on building and leading a high-performing sales organization, aligning sales efforts with marketing initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and market opportunities.
- Set and meet ambitious sales targets and develop sales plans to achieve sustainable revenue growth.
Sales Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a dynamic sales team, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to maximize their performance.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the sales team, monitoring their progress and providing ongoing feedback and support.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments to expand the company's customer base.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Sales Performance Management:
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement effective sales incentive programs to motivate and reward high-performing sales representatives.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Streamline and optimize the sales process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in converting leads to customers.
- Collaborate with other departments to align sales efforts with marketing and customer service initiatives.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Present sales performance updates to the executive team on a regular basis.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and threats in both sectors.
- Use market insights to make data-driven decisions and refine sales strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Proven track record of at least 10years in sales leadership roles, demonstrating consistent revenue growth and team success in related sectors.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of our active markets and competitive landscape.
