Our client is an engineering and manufacturing leading company that is adding value to lives through innovative solutions. Due to expansion, they are currently in need of an Electrical technician
Responsibilities:
- Carryout site installations and maintenance where needed.
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, Low Voltage Panels and Distribution
- Repair and replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, storage batteries, switchboards, conductors, switches and varied electrical fixtures.
- Carryout Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment and panels.
- Install improvements and major upgrades to electrical plant.
- Evaluate electrical as well as operational problems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Work with the E & I Engineer in ensuring efficiency in the cost, schedule and quality of deliverables.
- Operate and maintain electrical machines as well as the instrument.
- Carryout other associated tasks assigned by the Electrical Supervisor
Skills and requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Compliance to Health & Safety standards
- Compliance with company quality standards
- Ratio of actual to expected timeline for completion of tasks
- Adherence to general factory policies
- Frequency of losses due to instrumentation and/or system failures
- Must possess basic knowledge and experience needed to tackle any electrical engineering project
- Oral & Written Communication skills
- Ability to transmit information effectively i.e. in clear, unambiguous terms to employees, management and other stakeholders to facilitate at all times the achievement to the goals and objectives of the organization
- Ability to understand technical information and relay it in a manner that is clearly understood by others.
- Ability to write reports in clear terms using a mixture of words, charts, graphs, etc.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and proactive (to be able to think Sound ethics and integrity).
- Must be discernibly honest and of consistent upright character
- Must be ethical i.e. must follow the ideals and responsibilities of the industry as set out in the code of ethics guiding operations and operators in the industry.
- Very good knowledge of the M.S Office suite (especially word, excel and PowerPoint)
