Key Responsibilities



  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and new market trends. Analyze data and insights to develop strategies for business growth.

  • Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels such as networking, cold calling, attending events, leveraging online platforms, and referrals.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs and requirements, and provide them with tailored solutions to address their challenges.

  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals, pitches, and presentations to clients, demonstrating the value of the company's products or services.

  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties. Close deals to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets.

  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure a cohesive approach to business growth and client satisfaction.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies and plans to expand the company's customer base and enter new markets.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and manage budgets for business development activities and provide regular reports and forecasts to the management team.

  • Monitoring Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Use this knowledge to identify potential opportunities and areas for growth.

  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Measure the effectiveness of business development strategies and initiatives, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting on progress to the management team.

  • Team Management (if applicable): In larger organizations, the BDM may lead a team of business development executives or specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.

  • Partnership and Alliance Building: Identify and pursue partnerships and alliances with other companies or organizations that can contribute to the company's growth and expansion.


Job Requirements



  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification.

  • 5 - 10 years work experience.
