Details of each mission
Initiating Transactions
- Handle the initiation of financial transactions, including processing invoices, purchase orders, and sales orders.
- Manage accounts payable by processing supplier invoices, verifying and monitoring payment terms, and making timely payments.
- Handle accounts receivable by issuing customer invoices, tracking and monitoring payment collections, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Supporting the senior accountant in various financial tasks as required.
- Handling petty cash management and maintaining related records.
Bookkeeping
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping practices by maintaining records of financial transactions, bank statements, and reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable: Process and manage all payable transactions, including verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, and scheduling payments in a timely manner.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor receivables, issue invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and coordinate with customers for timely collections.
- Reconciliation: Conduct periodic bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports as required.
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist auditors during financial audits.
Transactional Dashboard
- Update and maintain daily transactional dashboards, providing real-time insights into financial activities and performance.
- Expense Management: Track and monitor company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Financial Reports: Assist in generating financial reports and statements, providing accurate data for financial analysis and decision-making.
- Prepare and update daily transactional dashboards to provide real-time financial insights.
- Participating in the development and improvement of financial procedures and systems
Data Analysis
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies, and provide insights to the finance team.
- Collaborate with technical regulatory affairs officer to provide necessary documentation and support during audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Skills required for the position
Theorical and practical knowledges
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proven working experience as a Junior Account Officer or similar role.
Technical and methodological know-how
- Experience in handling ERP systems
- Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheet.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Behavioral skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Salary and allowances
Fixed salary

- 15 000 Naira/month of air-time allowance
- 20 000 Naira/month of transport allowance
