About the role



  • The Head of Growth role will act as the bridge between the management and the Growth (Sales) team, ensuring that growth goals are set appropriately, communicated clearly, and executed aggressively. Working from the top of the sales funnel to the bottom, you will own the entire process and ensure that the marketing and sales efforts achieve the company’s business goals.

  • The role is responsible for building and leading a team that is focused on customer acquisition and retention, using both inbound/outbound strategies and online/offline approaches to move prospects through the sales funnel. You will constantly collect data to track and improve on all steps in the sales process, identifying bottlenecks and increasing automation.

  • Lead Business Development & Sales, along with all cross-functional teams, to accelerate our growth


Key Responsibilities 



  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline for the growth team to successfully meet revenue targets.

  • Develop and monitor the company’s growth strategy for all stages in the sales funnel including defining a roadmap for each marketing channel and maintaining consistent sales activity year-round.

  • Manage and drive the growth team to coordinate and execute planned strategy, providing guidance and inspiration to keep the team energized and motivated, as well as the structure and support needed to reach set targets and goals.

  • Lead Growth hacking and go-to-market strategies for entering new markets and dominating current markets.

  • Drive our Channel Partnership Program, maintain relationships, and track the productivity of Channel Partners.

  • Develop a system to track conversion rates and measure progress against goals, constantly looking to eliminate bottlenecks, improve processes, and introduce creative ideas and solutions that are quickly tested and evaluated.

  • Provide market insight to the management by blending data with a deep understanding of market conditions and perceptions developed through targeted interviews, usability studies, competition reviews and customer feedback.

  • Communicate strategies and results to the leadership team on a consistent basis.

  • Establish and Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships within and outside the education sector to drive business growth.

  • Monitor, and analyse KPI’s and regularly present them to management to ensure activities are driving profitable growth.

  • Think strategically, analytically, and creatively about new ways to reach new customers and increase relevance.

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, and constantly identify sales and services that would appeal to new clients.

  • Developing ways to improve customer retention and build brand loyalty

  • Work with finance to manage teams’ budgets and profitability

  • Standardisation, quality control, and process improvement of the Growth team processes


Requirement



  • Must have achieved revenue targets above $2m annually in previous roles

  • 10+ years work experience especially in B2B SaaS companies

  • Hands-on experience with the use of Sales CRM

  • Provable ability in substantially optimize user acquisition channels, conversion funnels, and monetisation

  • A knack for identifying initiatives that drive growth

  • Must have proven results-oriented approach, with a focus on getting results

  • Proven track record in building teams, while improving efficiency and culture

  • Confidence in leading with experience & intuition but validate through data-informed experimentation and user research

  • Experience collaborating with research, design, engineering, AI, and analytics to drive growth initiatives

  • Identify opportunities and roll up your sleeves to make them happen; you should not be afraid of getting your hands dirty.

  • Technology advocate — Must stay up to date on the latest tools and best practices and always strives to make processes more efficient and effective.

  • Forward-thinker — Must be able to see the small details, the big picture, how things are now, and where we can go from here.

  • Data-driven — Understands the importance of data and knows how to collect and analyze data and implement insights.

  • Negotiation – Be able to effectively negotiate with team members, prospects, and customers

  • An inspirational leader who is able to oversee a dynamic and distributed team.

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree
