Responsibilities

• Develop, Plan and implement supply chain strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.


• Acquiring commodity trader customers based in Europe, Middle East, Asia and identifying and developing


• financing opportunities in line with the department’s targets


• Manage relationships with international clients and export partners (freight forwarders and shipping lines.


• Negotiate and Manage export contracts and agreements with suppliers, buyers and ensure compliance with terms


• from sourcing to receipt of payments.


• Present weekly market reports and competition analyses for management decisions.


• Ensure buyer’s quality specifications for commodities adhere.


• Build stronger partnerships and maintain good stakeholder relationships with key customers, suppliers, and


• brokers at all levels.


• Provide strategic recommendations to drive business growth and increase operational efficiency.


• Aggressively target potential markets to generate business by expanding the network of trades and customers and developing current customers.


• Negotiate terms and rates with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines, and assess their performance and services.


• Assess, manage, and mitigate all operation risks.


• Manage inbound and outbound logistics to deliver business goals and cost-effectiveness.


• Track functional metrics to improve operational efficiency.


• Efficiently control inventory and lead the periodic stock inventory.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.


• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with a multinational agro-commodity export firm such as Olam, Export


• Trading Group (ETG), WACOT, ECOM Agro-industrial, etc.


• Demonstrate excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.


• A solid understanding of agro-commodity quality specifications and checks is an added advantage.


• Demonstrate commodity risk management knowledge to manage trade operations for optimal outcomes
