Our team is on the lookout to hire a Growth and Partnerships Associate who will be responsible for managing our business development activities, significantly contributing to the development of new partnerships and funding opportunities.
S/he is expected to develop and implement fundraising strategies including new partnership and funder liaison. Establishing and managing relationships both internally and externally, and ensuring that these entities’ funds are used in a way that aligns with our mission and values is a key element of this job.
This career requires a strong attention to detail and skills with written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage several projects at once.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the implementation of an overall fundraising strategy and plan which includes a diverse range of funding streams.
This role might include researching potential donors or partners, creating proposals, and presenting these ideas to senior leadership for approval.
Play a key role in the development and maintenance of CRM database of potential funders, and partners for business development
Report to Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Board on progress against fundraising targets
Manage our engagement in active frameworks and consortia, including maintaining relationships with other framework/consortia participants and consultants, coordinating meetings where required.
Oversee and support the development of concept notes and proposals as appropriate in liaison with Finance and Sales teams by managing the bid process, contributing to budgeting and developing commercial strategies for bids.
Providing financial advice to businesses regarding how to manage cash flow and how to use funds to meet short-term needs
Keep up to date with charity legislation and funder requirements with respect to fundraising (for instance compliance etc.) and alerting appropriate senior staff
Requirements:
A university degree or equivalent, with proven track record of fundraising in a non-profit or an international organization
Proven ability to meet fundraising targets
Good knowledge of the philanthropic sector
Ability to work flexibly across the Marketing and Project teams, where required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a small, dynamic team
Demonstrated ability to organize work and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to maximise the growth potential of partnerships
Experience in developing comprehensive grant proposals
Experience in the global Agri-food sector and SME funding would be an advantage
Existing connections within the Agri-food community is desirable
