  • The HSSE Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, security, and environmental practices during training activities, imparting essential knowledge, skills, and best practices to promote a safe and environmentally responsible work culture.

  • This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, conducting risk assessments, and monitoring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

  • Additionally, the candidate will be involved in delivering safety courses, providing safety and security audit/documentation services to clients, and contributing to the continuous improvement of training operations.


Job Description

Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE):



  • Develop and Implement HSSE Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines: Design and implement comprehensive HSSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the well-being of training participants and staff.

  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with training activities and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.

  • Ensure Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations: Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Promote and Enforce Safe Work Practices: Promote a culture of safety during training sessions and enforce safe work practices.

  • Implement Security Measures: Implement security measures to safeguard training facilities, equipment, and data.

  • Monitor and Address Environmental Impacts: Monitor training operations for environmental impacts and take necessary actions to mitigate any adverse effects.


Training facilitation:



  • Training Program Development: Develop and design HSE training programs that align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and the specific needs of clients or trainees.

  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative training sessions to educate participants on various HSE topics, including workplace safety, hazard identification, emergency response, environmental protection, etc.

  • Content Preparation: Prepare training materials, presentations, handouts, and multimedia resources to support effective learning during training sessions.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrate expert knowledge in HSE regulations, standards, and best practices to address trainees' queries and provide real-world examples.

  • Practical Demonstrations: Conduct practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises to reinforce theoretical concepts and enhance understanding.

  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom dynamics, and encourage active participation from trainees.

  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and analyze data to identify trends and recommend preventive measures.

Training Compliance:

  • Proven experience in health, safety, security, and environment roles, preferably in the training or education sector.

  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • Familiarity with incident management and investigation procedures.

  • Previous involvement in compliance audits and regulatory assessments is desirable.

  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to training safety and environmental management.
