Duties & Responsibilities

• Works as directed by ensuring slings, shackles, rigging, tools, materials, etc., are in good working condition and are put away when the task is complete.


• Work as directed rigging objects to be moved or lifted.


• Assembles pipe spools, and bolt-up flange connections.


• Assist welders and fitters with the assembly of pipe and pipe fittings.


• Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health, and Environmental Processes.


• Dismantles and stores rigging equipment after use.


• Manipulates rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support equipment or materials.


• Signals or verbally directs individuals engaged in hoisting and moving loads in order to ensure the safety of workers and materials.


• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting


• Routinely tests rigging equipment to ensure safety and reliability.


• Attaches loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.


• Controls the movement of heavy equipment or material through narrow openings or confined spaces. Conduct behavioral-based safety observations.

Qualifications

• Education: BSc Degree in Engineering.

Experience:

• At least 7 years of rigging experience in offshore locations.


• Proven job knowledge to handle operational responsibilities and demonstrated personnel attributes of sound judgment, dependability, honest work ethic, and leadership.
