About the Job

• We are seeking to hire an experienced Poultry Manager to oversee all aspects of the poultry operation.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal poultry health, production efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the health, well-being, and comfort of all poultry. Coordinate with veterinarians as needed.


• Monitor laying patterns, egg quality, and storage conditions to optimize production.


• Coordinate and implement regular vaccination programs to prevent disease outbreaks.


• Oversee feed formulation and ensure that the nutritional needs of the birds are met for optimal growth and production


• Oversee the entire life cycle of poultry, from chick to mature bird, ensuring optimal growth and production rates.


• Ensure a proper feeding regimen and oversee the purchase and storage of feed.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of poultry health, growth rates, and production.


• Supervise, train, and mentor farm members and ensurebest practices are followed.


• Ensure equipment, and other facilities are clean and in good working condition for use.


• Ensure that the farm's operations comply with local environmental regulations.


• Prepare for and manage emergency situations such as disease outbreaks, power failures, or natural disasters.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in poultry management or related fields.


• Strong understanding of poultry health and nutrition, techniques, and best practices.


• Leadership skills and experience managing a team.


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to work long hours and handle the physical demands of the job, such as lifting feed bags or inspecting poultry houses.


• Ability to handle stress and manage crises, such as disease outbreaks or supply chain disruptions.
