The candidate would be responsible for proper supervision of technicians to improve the quality productivity and efficiency, to achieve set target.
Ensure the smooth and safe running of a workshop
Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and regulations are followed.
Review inspection and maintenance records to ensure accurate information is compiled for reporting.
Oversees multiple maintenance teams in performing preventive and corrective maintenance
Oversee maintenance activities across multiple maintenance teams.
Manage team's performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Oversee housekeeping and availability of workshop tools, equipment and expendables.
Oversee the work of contractors to ensure safety requirements as well as operating and quality standards are met.
Perform on-the-job coaching to team members.
Plan maintenance schedules and resources.
Plan work activities and manpower.
Plans and assigns maintenance teams by redirecting resources to meet service requirements and prioritized maintenance, as well as reviews maintenance work and recommends improvement initiatives to achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Conduct audit of maintenance and workshop operations for quality review.
Job Requirements
HND/B.Sc. qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 8-10 years’ work experience in Haulage/Transport Company
Basic electrical knowledge and experience would be a plus.
Able to write route cause failure reports
Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP application
Must also demonstrate a good knowledge of the workings of a service and maintenance workshop with a
Must possess excellent supervisory skills, and coordinate work activities across multiple maintenance teams.
Vast knowledge of IVECO STRALIS is an added advantage
Repair experience of pumps, generator mechanical seal repair and laser alignment
Good engineering practice and able to use measuring equipment
Supervisory experience good leadership, motivation and team building skills
